Understanding The Term All Spiritual Blessings In Christ – Pastor Chukwuemeka Charles Asiegbu

All Spiritual Blessings:

All Spiritual BlessingsAll spiritual blessings is one of those terms in the bible that have been misused or misinterpreted by Christians. Firstly, it is very important for the believers in Christ to understand every term or statement made in the bible. This will definitely help them in their teaching and in the usage of these terms. Therefore, our focus is on this term “All spiritual blessings” and for us to ascertain the meaning we have to extract it from the quotation below.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”

Ephesians 1:3

Before we talk about all spiritual blessings as contained in the verse above, let’s begin by analyzing some of the words in the entire verse. From the verse above we can ascertain that all spiritual blessings is located in heavenly in Christ. It implies that this all spiritual blessing can only be found in the heavenly in Christ. As a matter fact, this all spiritual blessings cannot be found outside the heavenly in Christ. Yet another thing to consider is the nature of this blessings. It is called spiritual and not material or physical blessings. The implication here is that it is not tangible rather spiritual. If it is not physical, it means that this blessings exist in the realm of unseen reality.

All Spiritual Blessings – Holy And Without Blame:

Another important thing to mention here is that this blessings are not to be located outside this chapter. Therefore, what Apostle Paul called all spiritual blessings are listed according in the verses below the aforementioned as we can see below.

“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.”

Ephesians 1:4

From the above verse it is very clear that one of the All spiritual blessings is holiness and blameless. It states that “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world.” It indicates that God did it before the foundation of the world. That is to say that God did without seeking anyone’s consent. Therefore, believer were chosen holy and without blame in God in Christ before their knowledge. This shows that these two qualities are not a product of one’s work but Grace of God in action.
