Truth And The Church:
Truth and the church is something that is supposed to be inseparable because both go hand in hand. In situation that the truth is not found in the church it means abnormality has taken place in the church. Let’s see what Apostle Paul said to Pastor Timothy in his epistle to him below.
You may like to read this teaching “The Function Of Light In A Believer”.
‘As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all so that the rest may stand in fear’
A wise man once said that, “People prefer and desire to take the medicine in capsule form than in the raw form, so that they will avert the bitterness in the medicine”.
The Bible says: ‘The Church is the pillar and bulwark of the truth’
‘If I am delayed, you may know how one ought to behave in the Church of the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and bulwark of the truth’
Truth Should Be Found In The Church:
If the truth is not spoken in the Church, there is no other place where truth could be spoken. However, this statement is not true of some churches today. If gold rusts what will the iron do? The truth that heals is the raw truth spoken without fear or favor. The so called cosmetic truth does not heal rather only check or control the sin in one’s life. The leaders of the Churches should speak out the truth that will heal the members of their Church from sins.

If not the cosmetic truth helps to retain the sin in the Church. If the cosmetic truth is allowed to prevail and become a routine in the church, it really shows that the church is not rightly dividing the word of truth as Paul advised Timothy:
‘Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth’
2 Timothy 2:15
The Way To Say The Truth:
The only way to divide the word of truth is to hit the nail at the head. That’s saying it openly that so and so characters and such and such behaviours are wrong and sinful. That’s declaring that sinful characters should not be accommodated in the church. However, let’s stop this kind of preposterous statements like “We know well that they are sinful characters but for the sake of love we may do with them and allow them to grow in the church”. And invariably, thinking that maybe they will change some day.
This is pure mediocrity coming out from a church that is supposed to be a serious-minded entity. It is not a place where jokes and fairy tales are allowed to permeate the spirituality of its foundation. It is a place where spiritual matters are handled decisively without minding whose oxen is tinted. The church should not be so petty in matters concerning the spiritual code of conduct of the church. The truth must be spoken as it stands and should be followed.
