Is God Answering Prayers? Part Two – Talking Christianity (Opinion)

God Does Not Answer Prayers Part Two:

God does not answer prayer part twoGod does not answer prayers part two: Therefore, no situation takes Him unaware; He knows any situation from the start to the end. So if one is praying about any situation it’s not like one wants to let God know about the situation. The truth is that He has known about the situation even before the foundation of the earth. This is because one of the attributes of God is that He is a God of foreknowledge. He has the foreknowledge of what will happen in the next trillion years to come. Another interesting thing to point out about God is that He has His ways of making decision which is very different from human ways. Apostle Paul in his epistles to the Ephesians states that,

“In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will.”

Ephesians 1:11

In the verse above it is very easy to ascertain that one of the attributes of God is that He works all things after the counsel of His own will. This implies that He can only do those things the counsel of His own will has advised Him to do. Therefore, while creating the earth it was the counsel of His own will that advised Him on what and what He should fill the earth with. God didn’t wake up and decided to fill the earth with anything anyhow. It was the counsel of His own will that dictated the pace of operation.

God Does Not Answer Prayers But Has Answered Prayers:

No wonder God has to evaluate everything that He made in order to ascertain their uniqueness and purpose. After the evaluation, He pronounced good on them. So we have a situation that God created things and made available what will sustain them while they exist. This is to say that God provided for the need of whatever that He created even before they were created.

When man was created, God showed man the things that will meet his needs on earth. He provided for everything that man might need to survive. Therefore, before man was created God answered the prayer of what and what he needs to sustain his life. Interestingly, man wasn’t there when God created those things that will meet the needs of man. It shows that man has no input at all, therefore he didn’t suggest to God to make anything for him. Again whatever God created for the use of man suits man’s need. This is possible because God is omniscient in nature. He knew those things that man needs and made them available beforehand.

Therefore, when man prays and receives answers it doesn’t mean that God gave him answers immediately he prayed. The truth is that God has made provision for the needs of man before he was created.

God Has Answered Prayers:

The answer to man’s prayer have been made available by Him what man needs is to take it. This is done through prayer. When one prays and receive answers it means he has just collected what God has given him even before he was created. He is not creating anything new. When He created the earth He filled it up with things He made available everything that is needed in the earth.

He finished the creation of the earth and handed it over to man to run the affairs of the earth. If one flips the pages of the Epistles in the New Testament all the promises and the fulfillment of them were in the past tense. God will not do anything new He has done all that He could and they are totally satisfactory. Let’s see what Apostle Paul says in the verse below.

“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.”

1 Corinthians 2:12

God will not give us; He has freely given to us. He did that in the past because He knew we will need them. Also, let’s see the way Apostle Peter puts it in his epistle.

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue”

2 Peter 1:3

He Has Given All Things To Man, He Will Not:

So His divine power has given us all things that pertain to this life. There is nothing left of God to do for man. He has given all things to man. This is very interesting but the question is why is man not having all things? This is where prayer comes in. If man is in need, he speaks to those things that God has provided for him to come forth.

They have no option than to come forth as man has commanded. Now it is important to state that, prayer answering has no formula. That’s it’s not because one prayed and fasted that his prayer is answered. This is considering the fact that same particular situation may have occurred in the life of another and he didn’t pray and fast to get answers. In the same vein, it is not because one went to the mountain to pray that he received great revelations. There are people who have not gone to the mountain and they are receiving greater revelations.

Therefore, what is important is not the method of praying but what one says and the faith attached to it. Apostle James speaking in his epistle puts it this way;

“Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts”

James 4:3

One can deduce that one of the things that make prayers not to be answered is that it is prayed amiss. It is not that God is holding one’s prayer. Holding of prayer is not God’s nature and God does not change. He has answered every prayer man needs to pray. Don’t doubt it, that is why He is God!
