Inseparable entity: In the part one of this topic we have stated that Jesus is the foundation of the believer. This is because once a believer comes into Christ he or she has no other base in life except Christ! And we tried to enumerate the several ways that made Christ the strongest foundation any believer can ever have.

And we shall continue to unveil more about Christ as the believer’s foundation. The believer being in Christ makes their union and inseparable entity. Though there are people that have different foundation in which the trust (Idol, money, physical strength etc.) … See the verse below
“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.”
However, Jesus speaking the gospel of Matthew as stated this below about such foundations.
“And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand. the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew, then beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.”
Apostle Paul in one of his epistles to the Corinthians stated this about the foundation of the believer.
“For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 3:11
Inseparable Entity Jesus Is The Foundation:
If Christ is the foundation of the believer, it means that the believer is laid on Christ. And there is no way the believer can exist without Christ. See John 15:1-5. Therefore all of the believer should be found in Christ. It also means that the believer and Christ are inseparable entity.
This brings us to the point that if they are inseparable entity it implies that the nature of Christ should be found in the believer. This is because the foundation cannot be separated from the building, if so; it is no longer a complete building. As a result, whatever that is found in Christ should as well be found in the believer. The inseparable entity really defines the oneness which Jesus declared in the gospel of John as stated here below.
“That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one. I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”
The Nature Of The Union Is Inseparable Entity:
The inseparable entity nature of the union of the believer and Christ makes the foundation of the believer safer than any other foundation. The writer of the book of Hebrews further explicated on this as stated below.
“For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,”
It is important to state here that anything that describes the believer outside Christ should not be taken whether it is teaching, preaching, prophecy, vision and dream. This is what the inseparable entity nature entails about Christ and the believer in Him.
In 1 Corinthians 3:11, it accentuates the fact that Christ is the only foundation to be laid. Laying another foundation or the existence of another foundation definitely leads to futility. Therefore, no one can build his life on any other foundation and have the right and good success. The inseparable entity means that it is not possible for the believer to have another foundation.
The believer gets his strength and nourishment from Christ his foundation. See Colossians 2:19. And also it is upon this foundation which is Christ that accountability will be required of every man. This implies that, if one is not in Christ he or she has nothing to account for. And if you are in Christ you will render account(s) and as a result receive rewards accordingly (1 Corinthians 3:13-15).
The Character Of The Foundation Is Embedded In The Believer:
There is something to come into reality with and that is the foundation that is laid is Christ. And any believer in this foundation cannot do things that are contrary with the nature of Christ.
“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
2 Tim 2:19
So it that the believer must display the nature of the foundation he or she is built upon. The good news here is that it is not the believer that is going to produce the nature but it has been produce by Christ and as the foundation it penetrates the building. See Philippians 2:13.
Remember, the believer is created in Christ in righteousness and true holiness. See Ephesians 2:10, 4:24, this is the nature the believer manifests. Therefore, if a believer is created, it means that the believer has never existed before and his or her existence emanates from God. That is why everything about him or her is of God, see 2 Corinthians 5:18, Act 17:28. Nobody in Christ has his or her foundation in the physical family structure.
And whatever that is telling in his family doesn’t have anything to do with him. Yea, there are times we have some manifestation of some certain things about the family in the life of the believer. But what the believer should do is to renew his mindset in Christ. See Romans 12:2.
