Who Answers Wrong Prayers? – Gloria Imuwahen Asiegbu

Wrong Prayers:

Wrong PrayersWrong prayers are those prayers that are prayed wrongly. The question therefore is how do we ascertain wrong prayers? However, we understand that all the prayer that Christians pray is channeled to God in the name of Jesus.

Head covering while praying how right it is?

But truly speaking not all the prayers that are prayed in Jesus’ name is accepted by God. In fact some prayers tingles God’s ‘ear’, because they are not according to what prayers should be. Those prayers that are not in line with what prayer should be are the wrong prayers.

Sometimes, these wrong prayers do receive answers and then many usually think that God answered them. The reason is that those wrong prayers are prayed in ‘Jesus name’. The fact is that not all prayers that are prayed in Jesus name are right. The name of Jesus is the authority that is given to every believer in Christ to pray. But when a believer prays wrong prayers the name of Jesus cannot authorize such prayers. See the verse below.

“If any one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.”

Proverbs 28:9

This is simply because; the name of Jesus has its own limits in operation. The only thing that limits the potency of the name of Jesus is wrong prayers. Take for instance, if a believer prays that someone should die and he seals his prayer with the name of Jesus. This kind of prayer is wrong prayer because the name of Jesus cannot kill. The name Jesus means savior and as a result there’s no way savior will kill. What a savior does is to save.

Wrong Prayers Make A Believer Wrong Vessel:

Somehow, unknowingly people who pray wrong prayers do not know that they have made themselves vessels to the enemy. And funny enough, they think and are satisfied that they are vessels unto God. This is why it is important that believers are taught how to pray because if they know they will pray rightly.

Now, let’s see more of some wrong prayers and the misnomers attached them. When armed robbers pray and go for their operation. When they succeed, they believe that God answered their prayer. And when the fraudsters pray for a successful execution of their plans and it works out fine for them, they believe that it is God who answered them. When the prostitute prays for more customers and more customers troop into her apartment for her “job”, she is also convinced that God answered her prayer. Ignorantly, many continue in this way, thinking that God is in charge of what they are doing. It is not the hand of God, but the hand of the devil that is at work in all these ignoble situations.

“In which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience”

Ephesians 2:2.

The Vessels Of God Are For Good Works:

What transpires is that the man who prays these wrong prayers has his given authority for the devil to function with. The devil, who is the prince of the power of the air, picks up such prayers and answers them. When you pray that an evil thing should happen to someone and it happens, you are no longer a vessel unto God. This is because God prepares His vessels for good works as stated in Ephesians 2:10, and not for destruction. Even Jesus asked us to pray for our physical enemies according to Matthew 5:44. Some may ask, “Why would God allow such people to live?” Well, it is because He is a merciful God; as He really says;

“For I have no pleasure in the death of any one, says the Lord God; so turn, and live”

Ezekiel 18:32.

Wrong Prayers Why Are They Answered?

Since they wish to follow the ways of disobedience and the devil is the head of children of disobedience. Therefore he must do anything to control and keep to himself his own flocks and to satisfy them of their personal desires and needs.

Faith overrules the law of Moses

If he fails to meet their demands, his ability to retain them in his fold will be questioned by the circumstances that he has failed to meet. For this reason, the person in question may get frustrated in his condition. The next step is for him to search somewhere else for the solution to the problems and satisfaction in his life.

Satisfaction of their needs blindfolds them. And they never think it twice that God is not involved in what they are doing. In most cases these groups of people walk in this track and end up dying untimely without discovering the truth.

“For thou art not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not sojourn with thee”

Psalm 5:4

Prayers Of The Believers Should Be For God’s Glory:

Plainly, the devil works for the wrong prayers and to see it comes to pass. And that is why he dwells among these people doing anything to prop them and uplift them so that they will never find out the true way of life. As Christians who have identified themselves with Christ we should take note of this and be careful of the kind of prayers they pray. No believer should give his or her authority to the devil.

Miracle Is not The Right Prove

This knowledge we help the believers to know how to avert and defeat the devil in his cunning ways and manner of approach in the things of this life. Believers shouldn’t be doing the bidding for the enemy they are not his vessels but they are created in Christ with good works. Let the believers do the good works they are created with and by this bring glory to God. The believer’s prayers should bring glory to God not to devil!
