Concept of Provision of God:
Concept of provision of God is something awesome and astounding to recall whenever it comes to mind. The concept of provision of God is the demonstration of the mechanism God has put in place in order to satisfy the needs of His creatures. Interestingly, the concept of provision of God is way beyond the imagination of any creature He created. It reveals the caring nature of God and at the same time shows that the creatures are not afterthought but the main thought. The concept of provision of God also shows that the wisdom of God is inscrutable and cannot be compared.
This concept again divulges the fact that the creation of the earth is not for the sake of it. But that the earth is a meaningful and useful entity. Reliably, one can say that the concept of provision of God brings to reality the demonstration of the foreknowledge of God in display. This implies that God doesn’t do things in a conjectural manner but He’s a Being that’s explicit in His dealings. He understands in totality what the end will be from the beginning and therefore doesn’t go about doing nothing. In the concept of provision of God the revelation of how dear each creature God created is to God is made possible.
David identified With the Concept of Provision of God:
However, let’s see what King David say in respect to this in the verses below.
“He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills. They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst. By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches. He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works. He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth. And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, also oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.
The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted. Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house. The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies. He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down. Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth. The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God. The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens. Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening. O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.”
Concept Of provision of God Is All- encompassing:
King David in the above verses enumerated what the concept of provision of God is like. This therefore, demonstrates that whatever God has created is all-encompassing placed in the plan of God. This shows that no living creature is let to be without a way of survival. God in his infinite wisdom mapped out a way of survival for each creature created by Him. The evidences are everywhere that God profusely made available means for creatures to meet their needs.
This statement is an indication that God in His foreknowledge knew every creature and consequently made provision for their needs. God knew the exact things they needed to survive and made them available. So the way to meet the needs of the creatures was not an afterthought from God. It was in the plan of God before the process of creation began. To crown it all, God imbued in them the required knowledge and wisdom to harness what He has made available to them.
Again, from the above statements it is apt to say that the concept of provision of God establishes the fact that God is not providing for the creatures but He has provided whatever might be their needs. As a result, God didn’t put in place a process whereby the creatures will come to Him always to ask for one thing or the other.
The Creatures should make Use of the Imbued Knowledge:
This is because He has already made available what they need. Though, He made these things available, the only thing denying any creature the service of these things is ignorance. What the creatures need is to up their game and make use of the imbued knowledge and wisdom in them and harness the gift of God. Another thing the concept of provision of God reveals is that God is not a miser; therefore, He gave everything to the creatures to enjoy. Apostle Paul in his writing to Pastor Timothy puts it this way;
“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.”
From the above verse we can ascertain that the concept of provision of God reveals the kind of Love God has for His creatures. He wants every living creature that He created to richly enjoy its existence of this earth. This in a way shows that God is not interested in bossing His creatures around. He wouldn’t want them to come around Him and ask for one thing or the other before they can have it. They can live and harness the provision he has made available for them without consulting Him.
God Doesn’t Segregate At All:
Yet another thing to consider is that, the concept of provision of God reveals that God doesn’t segregate. Whatever He has given is for all. And it is irrespective of the fact the creatures honor Him or not. Jesus speaking in the gospels puts it this way;
“That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.”
God’s provisions are not limited to those who know Him but for all that He has made. He did all that He did because of who He is and not because of what any creature has done! Apostle Peter identified with this very fact and he declared in one of his epistles thus;
“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.”
2 Peter 1:3
The verse above didn’t say He will give us but that He has ‘given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness.’ So it is evidence that the concept of provision of God reveals that He has given us all, and not some but all things. Therefore, no creature on this planet earth that God is owing anything man inclusive.
