Work In faith Don’t Compromise Your Faith and Future
Work in faith: As Christians we are born into a kingdom and we become rightful members of this Kingdom. We do not become members of this Kingdom by our own making, but by the grace of God. We are born of His Word and instantly become members of His Kingdom. As the believer continues to work in faith this position and every other benefit from it becomes his birthright. When we compromise our position in the Kingdom of God for anything, it means we do not work in faith. And it must surely have an adverse effect on us.
Relating Topic: “To Avoid Failure In Life”
We stand a chance of losing every benefit that we would have gained from the position. Christianity and its values are your birthright, and so, they should not be compromised for anything in this world. Again, your position in the fold of Christ is a divine and spiritual position. Those who compromise their birthright fail woefully because have decided not to work in faith. Your birthright is your position and should be consolidated and maintained spiritually and physically. Esau sold his birthright and it affected his life and successive generations till date.
“And Esau said to Jacob, ‘Let me eat some of that red pottage, for I am famished!’ (Therefore his name was called Edom.) Jacob said, ‘First sell me your birthright.’ Esau said, ‘I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?’ Jacob said, ‘Swear to me first.’ So he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils, and he ate and drank, and rose and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright”
Work In Faith And Don’t be deterred
Many have been led astray today by their talents. They have compromised their faith in exchange of worldly attractions, and they ended up failing. It is not that they did not make money, but in their spirituality, there is emptiness that really indicates that they have not lived a fulfilled life. Once a believer has decided not to work in faith he will live an unfulfilled life. This situation has led many to commit suicide in the presence of wealth. Esau had what he bargained for but at the appointed time when he was to be rewarded he lost everything and he regretted his life. Do not forget that when he was eating the stew it was rosy and nice. Jesus said something intriguing about this in the New Testament:
“And He said to them, ‘Take heed, and beware of all covetousness; for man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions”
Many yield to the pressure of worldly attractions because of greed. They evaluate how much fame and money they can amass without considering and knowing that their life does not consist of such. They forgo the ways of God for money and material riches.
Work In Faith You avoid Inferiority Complex
This factor is a major problem in the life of many Christians. It should not be so, because every child of God is born with a seal of the Holy Spirit which indicates that he belongs to God. That seal does not portray timidity and weakness. Those who do not work in faith walk in timidity and weakness. Working in faith therefore, is a sign of boldness. It really shows that your life does not depend on you but that your life is anchored on Him that is in you.
The Bible says: “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world”. “He that is born of the Spirit of God overcomes the world”. This problem was peculiar in the lives of Moses and Gideon. These men displayed their inferiority status when they were called up for a mission. They remembered how little they were before God and thought they could not face the mighty mission that God was sending them to do. This depicts that they have decided not to work in faith.
They forgot who called them, His greatness, His majesty and glory. This, of course has altered the identity of many people in God. They look at themselves as illiterates, poor, and not eloquent in speech. They remember that their family is little and cannot withstand that big family. Your life is not for you and about you. It is for Him who knows you and who lives in you.
“And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him and said unto him, ‘The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valour”
Inferiority Complex Is Not Of Faith
Inferiority complex had beclouded the sense of reasoning of Gideon that at every point in time in his life he believed that he was not capable of doing anything great. Firstly, he was from an unknown family and a lowly rated clan in Israel. How could a mighty man come from such a background? By Gideon’s judgment he tried to prove God wrong for calling him a mighty man of valour.
But one thing is very clear, God knew Gideon more than he knew himself. God knew him before he was conceived in his mother’s womb. He made him a mighty man of valour, and knew that through him Israel will be delivered from the hands of their oppressors.
We should try and be what God has called us to be and not what we think we are or what people call us to be. The attitude of Gideon indicates that he didn’t work in faith at the onset.
Listening to the Voice of Satan will induce you not to work in faith
Many have failed because of the voices they have listened to. Satan can speak directly or indirectly through people, sometimes people of the same faith as you. You may be on the right track and you have decided to listen to some interesting, palatable and soothing voices of Satan that looks very secured and protective. Immediately you listen to such voices you will not work in faith. But when you allow such voices to pass through the spiritual prisms you discover how dangerous they are. These voices come in disguise. Adhering to them will certainly lead to failure because they don’t produce faith. The aim of these voices is to see that your mission in life is not accomplished.
This happened in the mission of Moses as he led the children of Israel from Egypt to the Promise Land. Some people were sent to spy the land, and they came back with a negative report about the land. They saw giants in the land. Ten of them conceded defeat. And only two out of the twelve who went gave a report supporting God’s ability to deliver the land into their hands. Those men were the majority, and if Moses had listened to them, certainly he wouldn’t have succeeded in his mission. Jesus went through similar experiences and He acted promptly. This explains His reaction towards Peter.
“But turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me; for you are not on the side of God, but of men”
The Mission Of Christ Involve Working In Faith
Jesus had a mission from God, the mission to die for mankind; to deliver man from the clutches of Satan into the Kingdom of light. He knew this was His mission, and without being told He had to ensure that it was done. This is how to work in faith. This mission made Him to be the Christ. Just a few moments ago, Peter confessed that Jesus is the Christ, and Christ commended him for his confession. Immediately, Satan entered Peter to talk to Christ into going away from His mission. If Christ had listened to Peter, His mission would have been a failure. Just be careful because Satan speaks through human voices.
To Work In Faith Avoid Laziness
The life that we have from God is our portion. What this means is that, as long as you are alive, there is a portion for you. Every living soul has a portion on this earth. Many may think that they are worthless and useless in this world. If you need my candid opinion about this, then I would say it is a lie from the pit of hell.
If you think in this direction you cannot work in faith. Some people even believe that because of their physical deformations they have no place, and therefore, should be dependent.
No, your physical structure does not define your portion. The portion has been given to us. Do not relent and sit back expecting things to happen on their own. There is something you must do; it is to move and locate your portion. Your portion is your own farm. You have to work in it, and your benefit will be the result of your labour in your farm. Suffice it to say that, the measure of success that will come out of your farm depends on you.
“He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits will have plenty of poverty”
Laziness has become a scourge in the life and future of many people. They have all that it takes to make their life meaningful but for the fact that they are lazy, they are not able to till their farm and produce enough for themselves. The aftermath is that success has eluded them and they have embraced failure.
Work in Faith and don’t hang out with the wrong people
No man is an island, given that we are born into this world to meet people. There is no way we can exist without people around us. Believe it or not, the people around you will determine a lot of things about your life. They have a role to play in your life. This role could either be negative or positive. That is where we should be careful. The effect of their relationship with us will certainly induce success or failure in our lives.
“Do not be deceived; bad company ruins good morals”
1 Corinthians 15:33
It is a fact that the more you stay with somebody the more you pick some aspects of his character. And not so long after that, both of you will begin to an extent to exhibit some similarities in your attitude. This could be a blind spot to you. But other people will see the change and will start telling you that you so much behave alike. Certainly, evil relationships must lead to failure and would never bring satisfaction in your life at the tail end of it all. One cannot work in faith if he engages in an evil relationship.
Work In Faith In A Relationship
In a more practical sense, life is all about the kind of company you keep. The truth remains that you cannot talk about life without talking about success and failure. So, whether you will succeed or fail depends on the kind of company you keep. If you are succeeding or failing today, check out the kind of people around you, and surely you will find out that they are playing a role in either of this.
The most important thing to do is to hang out with the right person and this is how to work in faith in a relationship. The right person will always lead you to the right people around. And the only right person that knows other right persons is Jesus Christ. Make Him your companion and for sure He will lead you to the right people to do things with and you will never have to fail. This is because there is no failure in Him. This is the will of God for you, that you should know Christ who is the source of all truth.
