Good Friday Deal:
Good Friday deal is a deal that is confirmed in Christ on that day He agreed to die for mankind. The term Good Friday deal is an expression that shows that a deal was sealed up on a certain day called Good Friday. The death of Jesus Christ was not a formality but the purpose and plan of God for redemption. Good Friday deal was not an ordinary deal but a deal that was done between two immutable beings. Hence the Good Friday deal was an eternal purpose of God established before the foundation of the earth.

This is an indication that whatever that happened was not surprise package to God. It implies that God was aware and He participated in the activities. Therefore since whatever that happened wasn’t surprise to Him it means any step that He took wasn’t a reaction but a preplanned solution. Like stated earlier the Good Friday deal is an eternal deal between two eternal and immutable beings. And therefore, the deal was not a fluke and it wasn’t a reaction but a purpose and plan designed to save mankind. Let’s take a look at this text below.
“The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.”
In the Hebrew rendition of the above quotation it reads something like Jehovah said to Jehovah, which implies that God said to God. In other words God talked to God and said; ‘Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool’. It is not a difficult thing for God to come out of God and spoke to Himself. And at the same time have an agreement with Himself.
Good Friday Deal Is By Immutable Beings:
In this an immortal being came out of His immortality to become mortal in order to make all mortals immortal. So the Good Friday deal was done the day God talked to God and made agreement by Himself to save man from eternal death. Now the eternal death was the consequence of sin. This sin was as a result of man’s disobedience to the divine order given to him. The divine order was that he should choose life (eternal life) but he did the contrary. The sin of man was that he rejected life and choose death. And
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

The quotation above is a legal expression containing two terms. It declares condemnation and at the same time opens an opportunity for eternal life. Therefore, the Good Friday deal is the deal that is designed to avail to man the opportunity to receive eternal life. This eternal life is a gift and no man has what it takes to earn it. The assurance of the Good Friday deal is that it was done by two immutable beings. And therefore there is no lie in it.
“Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath. That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us.”
The Good Friday Deal Is God’s Eternal Purpose:
In order to seal up this deal God made an oath and since God could not swear by anything He swore by Himself. There is no lie in God, in other words whatever He has said must be done according to His eternal purpose. Apostle Paul writing about the certainty of God’s word and promised declared to Titus thus;
“In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.”

The quotations above was not just a New Testament statement but has been confirmed in Old Testament as stated below;
“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”

Therefore, since God cannot lie, it implies that whatever agreement that He made within Himself must come out true. So, at the fullness of time God manifested in human flesh in order to fulfill the agreement He had with Himself.
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
On The Good Friday Man Submitted His Will To God:
Here, it is important to note that man failed to obey God’s divine order and for sure no man has what it takes to obey this order except God. The vulnerability of man in this case made the manifestation of God in human flesh possible. Therefore, Good Friday deal was designed to demonstrate the ability of man to submit to the will of God. Good Friday is commemorated as the day man in God rejected his own will and accepted God’s will. This is to say that Good Friday is the day that the will of God was done in man and this seals up the deal God had with Himself.

On that Good Friday, Jesus declared these words thus;
“Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.”

Here, Jesus confirmed the eternal deal He has with God even before the foundation of the world. A deal that stems from eternity was acquiesced by Jesus on that Good Friday and in it liberating man from the clutches of sin and death. The reality is that if Jesus has refused to assent to this eternal deal on that Good Friday the whole world would have been doomed. Today man has gotten the opportunity to obtain the gift of God which is eternal life through Jesus Christ. Halluayah!
