Bible Authors Who They Are:
Bible authors, knowing who they are is very important while studying the scripture. The Bible is a compilation of several books written at different times and dispensations. Bible authors are about forty individuals with unique personalities. So the Scripture is a book of many books bind together for a single purpose and reality. And just like other books, bible authors wrote the scripture and the scripture has its own character and object. Though the bible authors are different individuals but their writing points to one character and object. So while studying the Scripture, it is important to do that in the light of the main character or object. Let’s see what it says about its main character;
“Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken. Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.”
“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.”
Bible Authors Wrote By Holy Spirit:
The bible authors through and by the power of the Holy Spirit wrote the scripture because of this character called Christ. Therefore, the man Christ is the main character of the Scripture. This entails that anyone studying the Scripture should do that centered in the light of the character who is Christ. Notice that the bible authors wrote things that looks obscured in the Scripture. Of course, those things are difficult to understand because the one studying them has not done that in the light of Christ.
When one studies the Scripture in the light of Christ, every obscurity becomes bare. It is important to point out that the bible authors didn’t intentionally write those things to be obscured. The problem is that many bible scholars while studying the scripture have devise an approach that is not having Christ as the focus. This kind of approach is wrong. For this reason, many wrong interpretations have come into existence. However, it is in our hands now to correct these misinterpretations in the light of Christ.
Another thing to consider is the inspirer of the writings of the Scripture. Like stated earlier, the bible authors that put down the contents of the Scripture are humans. The truth is that the bible authors never did that on their own accord. They receive inspiration and motivation by someone who is the source of their inspiration. And consequently, they did justice to whatever inspiration they have received from Him.

The Source Of Right Interpretation:
Apostle Peter in one of his epistles declared to his audience how the inspiration of the Scripture came into being.
“For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
2 Peter 1:21
“Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”
1 Corinthians 2:13
Since the Holy Spirit is indirectly the bible author, it is important therefore that someone who is studying the Scripture should as a matter of fact consult Him. This he has to do before he flips across the pages of the Scripture. This is very vital because He knows all the references you might need in order to comprehend what you read. And again, as the main bible author, He knows and can interpret better those words which human understanding cannot phantom.

However, there are things that even the people who wrote them down in the scripture could not understand. Also they couldn’t explain why they wrote them because it is beyond their understanding.
The Holy Spirit Exposes The Truth Beneath:
What Bible authors did is just to pencil down what they receive to write and they have to obey.
“And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.”
1 Corinthians 2:4-7
The revelation of truth beneath the writings of the bible authors is by the Holy Spirit. It is because He knew all things and has everything under His lock and keys. This is in the aspect of receiving the wisdom to comprehend what the bible authors have put down. As a result of this Apostle Paul one of the bible authors prayed this prayer for his congregation in Ephesus. This prayer is very important because their understanding have to be opened.

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,”
Here without the Spirit of understanding, no one reading the mysteries (Scripture) will understand it. And if one does not understand it, error is inexorable while trying to interpret it with his human wisdom.
The Reliability Of The Holy Spirit:
Now, the interpretation of the Scripture must come by the indirect author or through a man. And the man must be someone that the Holy Spirit has already filled with His wisdom. Therefore, someone who has been filled with the power of understanding by the Holy Spirit is reliable to teach the Scripture. This means that he knows how to navigate the lines of the Scripture and then produce result. A typical example is the case between Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch.
This teaching is very thrilling: The Power The Believer’s Tongue
“And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?” He said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth. In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? For his life is taken from the earth. And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.”

Understanding Brings Fulfillment:
The above situation is possible because Philip is filled with the wisdom of the Scripture. Therefore, he stands and has the right to teach and unfold the mysteries to this Ethiopian man. It is important to point out that the demystification of Christ is the focus of their Scriptural study. The entire study was conducted in the light of Christ. And only in this way the right interpretation of the verses the man was reading was revealed to him. With the revelation knowledge he received from the teaching of Philip to opt for baptism wasn’t a glitch. The resultant effect of that was salvation of his soul and he went home rejoicing as stipulated in the scripture.
