The Believer Is Incorruptible:
Salvation message: In the last episode, we discovered that the believer becomes a believer by hearing the word. And we also found out that the word is incorruptible, truth and spiritual. Therefore, it is correct to say that the nature of the believer is incorruptible, truth and spiritual. This is because what gave birth to the believer is incorruptible, truth and spiritual. It means that the believer and the word are two inseparable entities. There is no way something can be separated from its origin.

However, in this episode, we are going to examine the content or the making and the condition of the word. Since, it is the word that gave birth to the believer. This is necessary because it’s not every word that one hears has what it takes to make one a believer.

Case Study Text:
“But what saith it?The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Salvation Message Is Faith:
From the quotation above, it is clear that the word is called the word of faith. So the only word to preach that will cause people to be born-again is the word of faith. When one hears this word of faith, it quickens him or her to believe in his heart. After believing in his heart that God raised Christ from the dead, then he confesses this fact with his mouth.

If this is done, it means salvation has come to the person who has done it. It is correct therefore, to say that the message a believer hears and believes is the salvation message. We have to point out here that the salvation message contains the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Therefore, a believer is one who has believed in Jesus by accepting the salvation message. Again salvation message is nothing but His death, burial and resurrection.
Apostle Paul puts it better in Corinthians and I quote
“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures
1 Cor 15:3-4
This implies that the salvation message of Christ is incorruptible, truth and Spiritual. And anyone that receives it, the salvation message has the power to make him or her incorruptible, truth and Spiritual. This salvation message is what is called word of Faith! No wonder that the Bible says this about faith

Salvation Message Is Believed And Confessed:
Faith can only come into someone by hearing the salvation message of Christ. So this shows that it is not every message that can bring in faith into the heart of people. The only message that can bring faith into the heart of people is the salvation message of Christ. When this faith comes and establishes in one’s heart it quickens him to believe. And then he confess Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior. So a believer is one who has accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior by virtue of hearing and accepting the salvation message of His death, burial and resurrection.

This kind of faith produces righteousness in the life of the believer. And the righteousness of faith is a speaking righteousness (Romans 10:6). Which is received by confession, therefore, is not about doing but about speaking. However, hearing and confessing by faith what one hears is one’s identification with the salvation message of Christ. In this process salvation is obtained and this salvation means that the person has been saved from sin. As a result of this he that is saved has no sin in him, he has been made righteous. This implies that he now has the nature of the person who he has believed in.
Let’s see how Apostle Peter puts it:
“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
(2 Peter 1:6)
Salvation Message Produces Righteous Nature:
So a believer is one who has received the righteous nature of God by faith. This is not by his level of activities and involvements but by grace through faith. So here, again faith is the vehicle through which a believer becomes a believer. The implication here is that without faith no one can be made a believer in Christ. And according to what Apostle Peter said in the quotation above which is (2 Peter 1:6). A believer therefore, is someone who has escaped corruption that is in this worldly system. It shows that a believer is someone who is not of this world and has nothing in this world. This is because he or she doesn’t exist by the standard of this world though he is in this world.

Note that before a believer comes into Christ, he or she is still in the nature of Satan. That is why Jesus called them the generation of Vipers (Matt 12:34), meaning people who are living according the lies of the devil. But when one hears the salvation message of Christ and believes it in his heart and confesses it from his mouth he becomes a child of God and the nature of God is impacted into him.
